William “Billy” Raymond O’Dell

William “Billy” Raymond O’Dell

April 16, 1930 ~ October 31, 2020

In loving memory of William (Bill) Raymond O’Dell who passed away on October 31st in Palm Bay, FL. He was born on April 16, 1930 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and has lived in Florida since 1969. William is survived by his devoted wife Louisanne of 56 years and six children. He had four daughters, Linda (Robert) Westbury, Debra Caruso, Sharon Orsi and Patricia (George) Gagliano. He had two sons Michael (Lynn) Fortin and Raymond (Bobby Jo) O’Dell, with a total of 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He had a sister Doris Little, and was predeceased by his brother Fred Bollwage and grandson Sean Patrick Westbury. They have always held a special place in his heart.

Bill was an avid auto and motorcycle mechanic. His 1969 Ford 150 was his most prized build. Racing his BSA motorcycle, watching Wide World of Sports and telling you a great joke to make your sides hurt from laughing were among his favorite pastimes. He was a master of the pool table and his love of professional boxing often filled his adventurous travel-packed life. Nothing came before his number one love, his devotion to his family. He was a Veteran, a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be truly missed.

Bill, although larger than life was a simple and humble man, he requested that there be no services. In true Irish fashion we are going to salute a man who was loved beyond words while he “rides with Freddy”.

A virtual Irish toast will be held on November 21 2020 at 7pm with your favorite whiskey. Please join with the link to honor him together and take a picture of your toast if you cannot join us live.

Our condolences to the family. Yes, he was a “larger than life” presence. I remember his genuine nature and his love of telling stories. I know he was a family man and his family loved him with an unrelenting devotion. He will be missed for sure. May God Bless him and hold him in His arms. May the angelic hosts surround him and send peace to the family and friends left behind. Sincerely, Christine and Harry DSouza and Bianca Picariello

I remember all the jokes and fun times we had. I have missed Dad and the family so much. Now Dad can visit all the yard sales in heaven and take care of all the fish he wants. My love and prayers to you all. Sandy
