Walter, 73, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2021, after his long battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was born in Newark, New Jersey. Following high school graduation, he joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Cross City, Fl, South Korea, Okinawa and Grand Forks, ND. While stationed in Cross City, he met his wife, Patricia of 50 years. After leaving the service, they made their home in Florida. Walter worked as a commercial refrigeration and service technician for 30 years. Switching occupations, he became a proud employee of Publix for the next 18 years. Walter enjoyed traveling and went on many adventures that included Alaska, Maine, Canada, and many states in between.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his children, Lori, Brian and Karin and his brother, Russell. He is predeceased by his son, Eric, and parents, Walter and Julia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11 am at the Church of the Holy Presence, 355 North Kepler Road, Deland 32724. Light refreshments will be served. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are required.
