Patricia “Peanut” Chadwick (Donaldson)

October 31, 1956 ~ April 24, 2020

Patricia “Peanut” Chadwick (Donaldson), 63, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on April 24, 2020, due to ongoing health issues and complications that resulted from an auto accident that occurred in September 2019. P-Nut fought extremely hard to make a recovery and resume normal life with her family and friends that she loved and cherished deeply. P-Nut had a vivacious personality, she was the life of the party and joy for all to be around. She had a kind, warm, and compassionate spirit and always went out of her way to help others. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved to bowl and was part of leagues in Waldorf, MD for many years. She also loved playing bingo, blue crab feasts, event planning with her best friend, and gathering with her family and friends; her motto has always been “the more the merrier”. P-Nut will forever be missed and always remembered by all her family and friends.
P-Nut was the eleventh of twelve children, and raised in the small town of Accokeek, Maryland. She married her husband, John Chadwick, in 1975. Together they raised four children. In 1995, she retired from the Prince George’s County School Board as a Cafeteria Manager. In 1997, her family relocated to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She previously served on the board as Vice President of the Skylighters Rescue Squadron of New Smyrna Beach, Inc. in conjunction with the Civil Air Patrol. She previously served on the board of directors for concession for S.E Volusia County Pop-Warner Youth Football Association. She was part of a team that organized fundraising events for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. She was also a member of, and served on the board as the Recorder for, The Women of the Moose Lodge #1515, and the Trustee for the Women’s Auxiliary for the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4242.
She is survived by her husband, John Chadwick; her children Trai McCabe (Thomas), Dana Chadwick (Joseph Carfora), Jesse Chadwick (Calee), and Brett Chadwick; her grandchildren, Brittany Walz, William “Billy” Walz Jr., Jesse Chadwick Jr., Rylea Chadwick, and Hayden McCallum; and her siblings, Thomas “Tommy” Donaldson, Virginia “Daisy” Richardson, and Cynthia “Rosie” Hashman, of Maryland and William “Hank” Donaldson, of Edgewater, Florida.
Preceded in death by her parents Leonard “Tootie” Donaldson and Gladys Donaldson; and her siblings, Walter Donaldson, Leonard “Leroy” Donaldson Jr., John “Johnny” Donaldson, Albert Donaldson, Charles “Charlie” Donaldson, Louise Powell, and Alice Lombardo.
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a memorial service and celebration of life, which will take place in each Florida and Maryland, will be announced at a later date.
