Loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, Iona “Ning” Osborne of Seth, West Virginia passed away on Sep. 14 at the age of 70.
Born on Sep. 21, 1950, Iona was the daughter of Violet and Raymond Jarrell. Iona grew up in a coal mining camp and by the time she was in high school, played first chair flute. Shortly after graduating from Sherman High School, she married Jerry Osborne when he returned from his military service in Vietnam.
Over the years, people from across the country sought Iona’s help and guidance as a spiritualist comforting them in their time of need. She led them through illness, grief, and tragedy with compassion and encouragement.
She leaves behind her husband of nearly 52 years, Jerry; their daughter, Candy, her husband Joe, and grandsons Indiana and Hunter; their son, Judson and his wife Karen, and grandsons Aaden and Jace.
She is also survived by her sister Margaret Mason, brother Edmond Jarrell, three nieces and three nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and infant daughter.
She will be missed by all who loved her.
