Celebration of Life
7/2/1954 – 6/23/2020
Ellen brought incredible happiness and joy to all who knew her, throughout her entire life. At a young age, Ellen was moved to a care facility in Florida, because of the day-to-day assistance she required, imposed on her due to Cerebral Palsy. Later in life, Ellen had the opportunity to move to Eagles Watch Cluster, a wonderful Assisted Living Homes facility. The competent and loving staff there patiently tended to Ellen’s every need each day, to assure she lived in comfort.
For most of Ellen’s life, each weekday, she would participate in activities at an “off-site” facility, something she truly enjoyed. She also loved getting her hair and makeup done and selecting fashionable outfits to wear. Every year, Ellen looked forward to visits from her little brother Danny. They would hit the Boardwalk on the “World’s Most Famous Beach” (nearby Daytona Beach), shopping, dining and watch the strong surf carry surfers along the waves. Ellen liked to check out all the cute, hunky surfers too!
Ellen was born on Friday, July 2nd, 1954 and was taken home to Heaven on Tuesday morning, June 23rd, 2020, just nine days shy of what would have been her sixty sixth birthday. Ellen predeceased her father, Alan Markus, of Long Boat Key, Florida, her mother, Margaret Markus of Hemet, California, her older brother, James Markus of Dallas, Texas and her younger brother, Danny Markus of Seneca, South Carolina. She will be missed by all, but those left behind (for now) find comfort in knowing that Ellen will indeed, Rest in Peace, for eternity.
