Blanca Ramos, age 79 of Palm Coast, passed away July 14, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ismael Ramos, her son, Ismael (Junior) Ramos, and her grandson, Kenneth Morales. She is survived by her son Luis, daughter Edith, grandchildren John and Stephanie, and her great grandson Jayden.
Blanca was born on March 13, 1941 in the Dominican Republic. She relocated at a very young age, to the Bronx, New York where she later met her late husband, Ismael. Blanca was a homemaker for her family, and boy was she an extravagant cook. She found great pleasures in providing great food and care for her husband, children and grandchildren. She was her happiest when around her family and friends.
In 2011, Blanca was diagnosed with Dementia. She, along with family fought long and hard to keep memories vivid and alive, as her memory slowly started to fade over time. As a family it was very hard to watch our loved one; someone who had cared for us with all of her heart, fade away, both mentally and physically.
To her family, Blanca was gone a long time ago, that is what makes dementia so unfair and peculiar; you lose your loved one, yet…they are physically still here with you.
Blanca was a great provider, mentor, and care-giver to many. She always put others before herself. She is now able to rest peacefully and reunite with her loved ones that have also passed on.
The family has chosen cremation and will not hold any funeral services.
