Arthur John Luxton, Jr. “Babb”

Arthur John Luxton Jr. “Babb” went home to be with Jesus in the early morning of October 13, 2020. John was born in Abington, Pennsylvania on September 3, 1953 to his loving parents, Arthur John Luxton, Sr. and Daisy Lee Morgan Luxton. John never met a stranger. He was a hard worker and good friend. He worked all his life with his hands and was skilled at many arts – though he mastered fishing and plastering. As a born-again follower of Jesus Christ, John showed his love for God by helping others and loving his family well. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, working, reading scripture, and a good western on TV. The joy of his life was his family. He is survived, earth side by his loving wife Jamie Curry Luxton and 6 children: John Luxton and his wife Cecilia, Sarah Luxton Barr and her husband Patrick, and Mary James and her husband Dillon, as well as his 10 wonderful grandchildren: Fatima, Daniel, Alana, Hannah, Jesus, Noel, Boaz, Selah, Judah, and Evelyn, and siblings: Ella Warren and Ray Luxton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. John is predeceased by his parents and sister, Roseanne Luxton. Family, friends, and all whose lives have been touched by John are welcome to attend his Celebration of Life at 10 am on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 at his home church First Baptist Church Daytona Beach (10 First Baptist Parkway, Daytona Beach, FL 32124).
In Lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice or Grace House Pregnancy Crisis Center.

Sorry to hear about Babb’s passing.
I hadn’t seen him since we were young, but spent many hours in the woods and playing when were we young.
Time passes fast!!

Dear Ella and family of John,
I pray for comfort for you and your family as you so lovingly keep John in your heart forever.
While I did not know John, I feel like I do as Ella has shared and we (FBCSD) have been praying for this brother, father, good man and Christian.

John 14:18, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

Dear Ella and Family–
Please know that you are in our special thoughts and prayers at this time, and will continue to be in the difficult days ahead. May all your happiest memories be the ones you recall to help comfort you until God’s sweet peace returns to your hearts. Knowing that he was saved, and where he truly is now, will be your greatest consolation. Because of that you will see him and hug him again. Special love from me and all your “Agape Sunday School sisters” always.
In my heart, and in God’s hands–Linda {Miller} Taureck

I’m saddened to hear of Babb’s passing at such an early age. He accomplished a great legacy in his life. A wonderful family is certainly a proud accomplishment. I remember many good times when we visited as children. Our paths separated but I will always remember. God Bless.
