Anne was raised in Jersey City Heights, overlooking Manhattan’s skyline. It was nothing for her to take her sister & together go shopping in NYC, visiting churches, lighting candles at various alters & praying. Movies have always been a joy for Anne; she would go each Saturday for a double feature! Anne met Ernie as a teenager at her church; they married in 1952. Following the birth of their children, Mark & Nina, they moved to the country, High Crest Lake, NJ. The years following took she and their family to IL, IN, PA and OH. Finally, “HOME” turned out to be Florida! Anne has been a realtor, antique dealer, business owner and artist. She has been a member of both Harris House & Florida Museum of Women Artists, as well as a volunteer of COA. Anne has been a dear friend to many, a mother & grandmother and a devoted wife to Ernie. Anne is survived by her children, Mark Zimmermann & Nina Puustinen, grandchildren, Amanda and Ian Puustinen; sister Louise Brooks and several nieces and nephews. Anne donated her body to UF for anatomical research. Any donations may be made to the “Memorial Garden Bench Fund” of St. Peter the Fisherman, which she loved. Funeral Services will be held March 20th, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
